Light Rock

Inspired by the session ales of Southern England, Light Rock explodes with life. The aromatic tendencies of Palisade and Simcoe hops bring a rich complexity of apricots, soft citrus, and resinous freshly-cut grass. Easliy bittered, fluffy body, and dryness keep things light and sessionable. A beer lovers beer in a different framing than the standard pale ale or IPA, the end result is an easy drinking, character driven lawnmower beer.

Peachy King

Ruthless to the pit,  the king is a tasty tyrant to be feared and revered. Cloaked in gold with an air of fresh South Carolina peaches. It is an Imperial version of Son of a Peach with twice the amount of peaches. It’s easy to fall prey to his majesty’s palatable charms. Respect the power of the peach or it’s off with your head!

Black Perle

A dark and roasted twist on the traditional IPA that uses an absurd amount of malt and is “octo-hopped” with German Perle and Cascade hops. The biggest beer in the RJ Rockers linup to date.

My Favorite Marzen

This authentic version of an Oktoberfest beer is deep golden in color with a rich malt complexity, and noticeable spicy hop character from the use of noble hop varieties.  Biscuity, malty, honey goodness dominate upfront while the hops lend a properly spicy, dry finish. Time to grill the bratz and upend your stein before the air gets crisp, the leaves flame and fall and the skies dim to black. Prost!

Two Can Play That Game

This light bodied lager is hopped with Simcoe and El Dorado hops. On the nose you get a nice yeast profile followed by aromas of orange and lemon zest. Upon taking a sip you’ll notice hints of grapefruit, bitter lemon, and pine; finishing with a slight bitterness and a “pop” of carbonation.

Wrong Side of the Bed

Wrong Side of the Bed Coffee IPA uses Little River Roasting cold brew coffee to pack a punch of flavor and bitterness! Rather than hopping like a traditional IPA, we let the coffee do the work. The coffee is a cold brewed blend of 75% organic Ethiopia Yirgacheffe from the Worka Co-op and 25% organic Peru ANACCAFE Co-op. The Yirgacheffe is naturally processed and is packed with fruity blueberry tones, while the Peru has a more buttery flavor with a nice, smooth body. This blend plays nicely with the citrus and slightly fruity essences obtained from hops.

Half Calf

From brewing Wheats to IPAs, there’s always one thing in our brewer’s hands – a hot cup of Little River Coffee. Along with our friends at Holy City, we have married two of our favorite things. Half Calf, a 7% coffee milk stout, is brewed with rich, cold steeped coffee from Spartanburg-based Little River Roasters. The roast of the coffee is balanced out brilliantly by the milk sugar we used to add a touch of sweetness and creaminess to the stout’s smooth, easy-drinking texture.

SPF 38 White IPA

A marriage of two styles, the White IPA features the generous hop bill of a standard American IPA with the yeast and malt bill of a Belgian Wit Beer. SPF 38 is excessively hopped with Lemon Drop and El Dorado hops giving the beer a citrus/lemon zest like aroma, and a slightly tropical, full citrus flavor. Even with the large amount of hops, SPF rings in relatively low on the IBU scale at, you guessed it, 38!

Black Lager

A night cap on a year of experimental lager brewing, RJ Rockers’ Black Lager is a highly quaffable dark beer with a crisp body and mouthfeel.

Gentle coffee and fruity aromas invite the first sip, which quickly reveals a subtly sweet, malt and roast character followed by a pleasant hop lick. Refreshingly complex and decidedly unique, our Black Lager is a fitting addition to a 20 year legacy of innovative brewing.

An American-style Hefeweizen, unfiltered with a tropical and spicy nose.  In our orginal line-up, Buckwheat is a #tbt to when RJ Rockers was a budding brewpub.  The American Hefe yeast is the main component to the flavor of this beer contributing a banana and clove aroma and flavor.

Hops Shot First

Inspired by the release of the 7th installment of the Star Wars legacy we’re proud to release Hops Shot First.  A 4.8% dry hopped American Black Ale, Hops Shot First is brewed with a galactic amount of Millinium and Falconer’s Flight hops, which impart flavors of tanergine zest contrasting roasted chocolate notes from the black malt.  Who shot first?  Hops, Hops shot first.

In the 16th and 17th centuries, Europeans believed that somewhere in the New World there was a place of immense wealth known as El Dorado. While the Spanish loaded their ships with pilfered treasures, they never found the mythical city of gold.

Call off the dogs, because the search for such a gilded prize is over. Introducing our latest Chalkboard series release from RJ Rockers: Schooner Session Ale.

While sampling our new hop shipments, our brewers knew they struck gold when they tried the relatively young hop variety. Despite having such a small quantity, we loaded Schooner with over a 1 pound per barrel of the lustful El Dorado hops, delivering commanding aromas of pineapple, mango and resinous pine.

With an enormous fruity, hop aroma and unique, sweet bitterness, Schooner is what hop heads have spent their whole lives searching for.

7 & 8 Saison

7&8 Saison is our take on the clean and classic Saison style. Fermented with French Saison yeast, this light bodied Saison is sweet on the nose and herbal and earthy on the palate. This beer was originally brewed to rest in freshly dumped Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from our friends at Vineyard 7&8 in California. After we put the first batch in the barrels, we couldn’t help but to brew another! Crisp and refreshing, this Saison is a great way to ease into fall.

Juan in a Million

Screaming for a lime wedge, Juan in a Million is brewed to exemplify the Mexican Lager style. A beautiful clean caramel flavor and deep copper hue greet you, as crisp Vienna and Munich malts offer a hint of sweetness. Subtle hop bitterness offers a refreshing finishing lick. Perfect for a sunny day at the beach or barbecue with friends, Juan in a Million represents the escape to a secluded beach in Mexico we all need.
